- Previous CNC machine setting experience is essential
- A good understanding of mechanical measurement systems is essential
- An understanding of SPC and quality control plans would be useful
- Previous experience of programming CNC machines would be useful
Key responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC turning machines to meet production requirements
- Complete machine setups, tool changes, and prove-outs accurately
- Ensure parts are produced to specification and within tolerance
- Carry out in-process inspection using appropriate measuring equipment
- Follow quality control processes and contribute to continuous improvement
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Report issues promptly and work with engineering and quality teams when needed
