Receiving the STEM Education Initiative of the Year award is a particularly proud moment for our team. In 2023/24 we were recognised for our commitment to promoting STEM education, and this latest award shows that our efforts continue to resonate. One example is our collaboration with Sodick, which resulted in a custom wire EDM machine capable of producing ultra-precise micro components using a 30-micron wire and advanced cleaning systems. This bespoke technology increased production from one part per day to over 500 per week, enabling us to scale up while maintaining the exacting standards required for vitreoretinal surgical tools and other critical applications.
In parallel, we continue to adopt cutting-edge technology to meet the evolving needs of the medical device industry. Our latest investment enhances our ability to deliver micro-level detail with consistency and speed, ensuring we can fulfil orders with tighter turnaround times and higher quality. Whether producing diagnostic instruments or high-performance flow control valves, we prioritise precision, reliability and repeatability, qualities that underpin this prestigious recognition.
